2012 APOA-Pfizer Best Scientific Paper Award for Orthopaedic Infection
An Award of up to US$10,000 is available for the Best Musculoskeletal Infection Papers.


• This is open to all surgeons and scientists with an interest in musculoskeletal infection.

• Applicants must submit in a format of a paper ready for publication.

• The paper can be either clinical or basic science that is relevant to the infection of the musculoskeletal system.

• Papers must be received by the closing date to be considered for the award.

• It is a requirement that at least one of the authors present the work as a presentation at an APOA meeting at his/her own expense.

• The winners of the prize will be announced at the APOA meeting.

• Judges will be blinded and selected from International Experts in the field.

• The number of prizes per year will be one to a maximum of three and if the quality of the papers is not good enough in any year, no prize will be awarded.

The award is fully funded by Pfizer.

 

How to Apply

Send an electronic copy of the paper with a covering email stating that you wish to submit a paper for the Pfizer-APOA Best Scientific Paper Award for Musculoskeletal Infection to drsureshsiva@gmail.com

Panel of Judges

A panel of judges will be selected by the Education Committee of the APOA. The panel of Judges decision will be final. Judges will be blinded.
