The organizing committee of the 7th General Meeting of the Swiss Society for Biomaterials welcomes you cordially to the headquarters of Institut Straumann AG in Waldenburg, and with gratitude to the host of this meeting. The Technical Center of Institut Straumann AG offers indeed a perfect site in an attractive environment for the organization of a meeting in the various fields of research in biomaterials. Biomaterials are a key issue in the Waldenburg valley, as our society could already recognize at the 4th General Meeting in 1998.

We are proud that we can present to the participants of this meeting a highly interesting program of contributions from universities and technical and medical centres in Switzerland. Many aspects of biomaterials research will be addressed and discussed by leading scientists in this field, from basic research to commercial utilization.In that sense, we hope that you will have an exceptional day and meeting here in Waldenburg.
