ECM VI
Spinal Motion Segment: From Basic Science to Clinical Application
July 4th - 7th 2005, Congress Centre, Davos, Switzerland

The emphasis of the single session, as always, was to have an in depth multidisciplinary set of discussions with clinicians, biologists, chemists, engineers and materials scientists on latest research and developments in the field. The meeting started with an overview of clinical problems, moved towards current research and finished with a summary and a loook at the future work to be done.

Course Chairmen: R Geoff Richards, Mauro Alini

The AOSpine Research Network (SRN) comprises of an informal group of international research institutes who work together within the AOSpine community. We share ideas, knowledge, and resources to improve our scientific contribution and research performance in the field of disc degeneration. We welcome high calibre fellow researchers and institutes, who would like to be part of a network and help in the scientific investigation into this interesting area.
SRN Coordinator, Thomas Steffen

ECMVI was accredited by SGO Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Orthopädie (Swiss Society for Orthopaedics) for 20 points and SGC Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Chirurgie (Swiss Society for Surgery) for 24 points. The meeting was also accredited by EACCME (European Union of Medical Specialists) with 24 European CME credits.
